Morinda Citricfolia, as it is botanically known is a fruit bearing plant in the coffee family, Rubiaceae. It is a small shrubbery tree and its white flowers are tubular. It's fruit is about the size of a medium potato and available in white or yellow colour when it is ready to be eaten. It is sometimes called a "starvation Fruit" implying that it was used by indigenous people as an an emergency food during times of famine.


Noni, is the Hawaiian name for the frit of Morinda Citricfolia. It various vernacular names are Indian Mulberry and Nuna.

It native range extend across Southeast Asia, Australasia, Pacific Island, Caribbean, Ghana, and South America. 

Noni is used in making juice and Salads in the areas where it is found in the world. It has so many health benefits, hence used as an alternative solution for all health related problems due to its chemical compound constituents, which includes Vitamins A, C, E,B, B2, B6, B12, Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Folic acid, B Complex, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper and different minerals like Chromium, Manganese, Potassium, Carbohydrates and a lot more.
